Let’s party baby girl!
I needed a card for a new baby girl.
So I thought I should make my own…
I also did one for a baby boy…
I am not sure if i should take the erring off?

On the sixth day God created horses;
on the seventh day he painted the ones he liked best.

I have always been drawn to paint horses.
I wanted to do a drawing of the four in my life.
Summer…a time to kick back and relax.
So here is my zebra representation of “Let’s party!”
Here is my near sighted zebra…
Hope you are having a wonderful summer!
When I had my rubber stamp company
(Stampinks Unlimited) I drew many blue willow
pottery pieces. Just for old times sake I thought
I would do one for a card.
Although I would not say everything in my life is perfect.
Some things that I saw no resolution to have been taken care of.
And in a way I never thought of.
I do feel that things are falling into place for me.
If it were not for the rain there would be no rainbows.
This photo I took yesterday after we had a storm
of rain mixed with hail.
Soul collages are a kind of art therapy for me.
Whatever the issue is I write on the paper
before I cover it with pictures and paint. The let go and remember
collage was about if I wanted to find another horse
after my horse of 17 years had died. By the time I completed
the artwork I had made the decision I did want to start looking for another horse.
Below is the collage and under that is my new horse Eli.
To everyone who is a mother…
Happy Mother’s Day!
I bought my Mom and
my husbands Mom
a scented hand creme and
fragrance spray. They both love blue
Every spring we have two sets of baby geese.
These are the first set of babies this year.
This collage is about what to do when your
dearest wish starts to unfold. Is it too good to be true?
I have always thought that when a door closes
a window opens.
My horse of 17 years died in February and now
less than 3 month later I have found and
bought another horse. Was this the right
choice… will we develop a partnership?
Who knows…all I can do at this point is
fly through the window of my dream.
The other quote “A bird doesn’t sing because
it has the answer, it sings because it has a song” a Chinese Proverb
seems to fit with my theme. I think we have to follow our hearts.
Sometimes the thing we love to do doesn’t seem to have
a purpose it’s just a thing we love to do. They
make our hearts happy and that is a gift to us and
those around us.
I just wanted to do a drawing of
a bird on my dog’s head.
It was a fun project.
Does it make you smile?
Just for fun I have been making
these bottle dresses. They are easy to
make. Coming together quickly to give me
an instant sense of creating something (such as it is).
I am planing to use them as wrapping
for any gift that is in bottle form.
(I used one for a bottle of olive oil the other day).
These are some I have made…
With the loss of my beloved horse
I am at a crossroads. I can finish my life without
horses. Less work (no more getting up at 5:40),
more time for other activities (maybe my bicycle
in the barn with 2 flat tires) and more money
(a new bicycle?).
With this in mind I have decided to
look for another horse.
I just finished the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
my book club book of the month.
There are two quotes that resonated with me…
“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true
that makes life interesting…” and
“To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only
real obligation. All things are one. And, when you want
something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.”
This is the collage I created to help me with my decision.
As Kermit the frog sang…”Why are there so
many songs about rainbows and what’s on the
other side…”. That was on my mind when
I drew this picture of Hercules. I am sure he
is in a beautiful place and happy.
I still miss him.
The mural honoring Amanda at Wood library is finished.
There was an article written in the Canandaigua paper
about the project.
My horse Hercules died
last Saturday February 9th. It was
very sudden and from when he collapsed
to when he died was 30 minutes tops.
He died as he lived…never making
a problem for anyone.
He was the best horse ever.
My daughter pointed out that the drawing I
was working on was a horse running away.
I finished it yesterday..
My next drawing will of course be of Hercules.
It has been an honor…fun and
rewarding to work on the painting in
Amanda’s room! I will truly miss working on it!
Here is a closeup of one of the flowers…butterflies.
Because of the doors at the bottom of the fireplace
Mary, the children’s librarian, wanted a mouse…
This soul collage addresses that
age old question who are you?
I mean really…not your job…height and weight
status in the world….
Do you ever feel like you are not
who you thought you were?
Or maybe you could be anything
you wanted to be?
This is my latest drawing…
These are the two photos I used to get this composition.
These are some of the photos that were just not
right for the drawing…
I finished my latest soul card
here it is…
