{"id":1697,"date":"2015-04-03T09:32:57","date_gmt":"2015-04-03T13:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/?p=1697"},"modified":"2015-04-03T09:33:13","modified_gmt":"2015-04-03T13:33:13","slug":"dog-cowboy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/dog-cowboy\/","title":{"rendered":"Give up, give in or give it all you&#8217;ve got!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I had so much fun doing this drawing of my dog,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I am doing a similar one of my cat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I know this drawing is a dog but I want to talk<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">about my horse that died two years ago.\u00a0 When<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Hercules died I questioned if I should give up riding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Starting over with a new horse seemed overwhelming,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">but I felt very sad when I imagined my life without horses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So I stared the process of looking for a new equestrian friend<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">and found Eli.\u00a0 He is the perfect horse for me in so many<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">ways and I am blessed to have him in my life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I am happy I didn&#8217;t give up!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">On to the reason I am telling this story&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">there is a parallel in the direction of my art career.\u00a0 For the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">past two years I have done many illustrations for what<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">would have been my second children&#8217;s book.\u00a0 Recently,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">the book died for reasons I won&#8217;t get into.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This, like the loss of my horse, made me question my<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">direction.\u00a0 Will I ever do another children&#8217;t book, maybe<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">but not right now.\u00a0 However I am having a great time<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">creating art in my own style and in a playful way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For now it feels right and easy and I can&#8217;t wait to see<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">where it goes.\u00a0 If it is anything like what happened with<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Eli it will be wonderful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cowboyjaz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-1698 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cowboyjaz-291x300.jpg\" alt=\"cowboyjaz\" width=\"388\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cowboyjaz-291x300.jpg 291w, https:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cowboyjaz-337x348.jpg 337w, https:\/\/rainbowzebragraphics.com\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/cowboyjaz.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 388px) 100vw, 388px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had so much fun doing this drawing of my dog, I am doing a similar one of my cat.
